Sister Cindy Morgan Passes

Sister Cindy had been a hard working Steward for her shop for several years.  She will be tremendously missed, Her Professionalism, care, and concerns for her fellow workers has been greatly admired and appreciated.
It is hard to say farewell to a good Union Member.

Cindy Lou Morgan, 54, passed away peacefully from this earth on August 9, 2014. She was born October 14, 1959 to Virginia and Jay Allen, in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Casey Jo; son-in-law, Jeremy Feller; and granddaughter, Delilah Rose; sisters, Virginia Hall and Carolyn Allen; brothers, Patrick Allen and wife Diana, Donald Morgan and wife Kim. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486.

Local Lodge 1786- Time to Vote!!

Several months ago, following protocol, every member was mailed a flier indicating that this is an election year for the Local.  Every way possible has been attempted to get the word out.
The election will be held at the American Legion Hall-490, across from Ellington Field on Tuesday, December 4th from 0700 to 1630 at which time the regular monthly meeting will commence.  During this time the regular meeting agenda will be met, then the meeting will be suspended until the votes of the day have been tallied, this will include the Local Lodge staff votes as well as the District DBR/President Votes.  When all the votes have been finalized, the meeting will reconvene and the announcements made as to the results of the days voting.  We urge every member to come out and vote and plan to attend the meeting.  The Poles are open all day, please make time to come by and cast your vote.
